Event Schedule

Thursday, February 4th, 2010

7 – 9 PM 

  • Team Captain’s Meeting and Registration in MacMurray Room – grab bag handouts, view final game schedule, learn the rules of play and hand in player documentation.  All local teams must send a representative, provide the insurance waiver for all players, and have all fees paid during this time.  No exceptions will be made.
  • The Bar is open!
  • Lily’s Café is open.

Friday, February 5th, 2010

10 AM

  • Lily’s Café open for pre-game refreshments and hearty meals.

12 – 2 PM

  • Registration for teams travelling from out of town. 

2 PM 

  • Beer Garden opens! – Public and Players are all welcome – (Must be 19 years)
  • Changing tent opens for players.
  • Food Concessions open for the public (and players!) – Come get your fill of BBQ Pig, Hotdogs, Hamburgers, Chili, and Chowder!
  • All food and drinks are purchased by Tokens which are available in the Pavilion and around the event.
  • Sponsor Lounge opens.

3 PM

  • Games start – Check the "Game Schedule" for further details.

6:45 PM 

  • Opening Ceremony

9 PM 

  • Last game starts and is over at 9:35pm.

9:30 PM 

  • Jimmy Flynn show in the MacMurray Room - Tickets are $5 if pre-purchased by a participant and $10 at the door for the public.  Call the Pavilion to reserve your ticket now! 693-5033.  
  • Five names will be selected from REGISTERED players for a chance to win a MAZDA CAR during Jimmy Flynn. 

Saturday, February 6th 2010

 9 AM 

  • Pavilion and Lily’s Café open.
  • Changing tent opens for players.
  • Tim Horton’s on site for the players and public.
  • Sponsor Lounge opens.

10 AM 

  • Games resume – Check the "Game Schedule" for further details.
  • Beer Garden opens! – Public and Players are all welcome – (Must be 19 years)
  • Food Concessions open for the public (and players!) – Come get your fill of BBQ Pig, Hotdogs, Hamburgers, Chili, and Chowder!
  • All food and drinks are purchased by tokens which are available in the Pavilion and around the event.

11 AM

  • Hockey Canada Clinic – For Children and Youth (pre-registration required – See “Daytripping Events” for more information.)

 12 PM 

  • 12:45 pm - SHOOT TO WIN A MAZDA (Five players chosen at Jimmy Flynn!) 

1 & 3 PM

  • Snowshoe Race for the Public – (pre-registration required – See “Daytripping Events” for more information.)
  • Stéphane Richer / Timbits Hockey Game at 1pm – Children and Youth Autograph Session follows.

4 – 6 PM

  • Grab & Go Baron of Beef Buffet Dinner – Participants only!  Be sure to bring your participant pass.

6:30 PM

  • Stéphane Richer VIP Dinner – Interpretation Center.  For further information call Bill Merrifield - 693-9499 or see side bar.

9 PM

  • Entertainment in MacMurray Room THE STANFIELDS – This is FREE admission and is open to the players and public.  Come on down and listen to a maelstrom of rock and roll, bluegrass, celtic and blues from this award winning band!  Check out THE STANFIELDS on myspace at:  http://www.myspace.com/thestanfields
  • Last game starts is over at 9:35pm.  

    1 AM

  • Playoff Games Resume.

  • FINAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME 

2 PM

  • On Ice Closing Ceremonies and Cup Presentations

 

Stéphane Richer Dinner

The Interpretation Centre will be host to a special dinner with Stephane Richer on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 6:00pm. 

Only 30 tickets are avaliable - Have a once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and speak with Mr. Richer. 

Tickets are $150 and can be obtained by contacting Bill Merrifield at 693-9499. All proceeds go to support the fundraising efforts.
